Pulse ("we", "our", "us") is a desktop application for Windows. We respect your privacy and are committed to collecting as little data as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it's handled.
Pulse stores all user data locally on your machine in a SQLite database. This includes your game library, clipboard history, session tracking data, settings, and any other content you interact with inside the app. This data never leaves your device unless explicitly stated below.
Pulse collects minimal, anonymous usage analytics through Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics provider. This includes:
These analytics contain no personally identifiable information — no IP addresses, no device IDs, no usernames, no file paths, and no content from your clipboard, repos, or games. You may opt out of analytics in the app settings.
When you activate Pulse with a license key, the app communicates with Lemon Squeezy's API to validate your license. This includes sending your license key and a machine identifier (a random hash — not your hostname or hardware serial). No other data is sent during validation. Pulse supports offline use with a 30-day grace period between validations.
Pulse periodically checks for updates via a Cloudflare Worker endpoint. These requests include your current app version and platform. No personal data is sent.
Pulse integrates with the following third-party services:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Lemon Squeezy | Payment processing & license management | View |
| Aptabase | Anonymous usage analytics | View |
| Cloudflare | Website hosting & update delivery | View |
When you purchase Pulse, your payment information (name, email, billing details) is collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy. We do not have access to your full payment details. Please review Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for more information on how they handle your data.
The Pulse marketing website (pulse-ops.app) is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on this website. Cloudflare may collect standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, pages visited) as part of their service — see their privacy policy linked above.
All app data is stored locally and persists until you uninstall Pulse or manually delete it. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Aptabase according to their retention policy. We do not maintain any database of user information on our end.
Pulse is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Pulse after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
